Caution: The Free Proxy List is not part of our database and has not been checked nor filtered!
What's a Proxy?
A proxy server is a server that handles Internet connections for another computer. It's a software based server which remembers all data(ie. nework cache)
A proxy server stores webpages of visited sites.
Once your Web Brower has been configured to use a proxy server and you request an HTML page to load, the proxy server will check for that page and if it exist, it will load the page at a faster transfer rate(then without a proxy). The overall increase in performance may be very high.
Who needs a Proxy? You do! If you...
1. Need to hide your IP address when surfing the net.
2. Want your privacy and security.
3. Want to protect your PC from hackers.
4. Want to protect your PC from viruses.
5. Have restrictions on your IP address(by your internet provider)
If your internet provider puts restrictions on your IP address, a proxy can in most cases remove those restrictions.
Please Note:
Any web resource you access can and will gather personal information about you through your PC via your unique IP address. They can deny you access to many websites and monitor activity. Many advertising agencies will use your personal information to send you adware, spyware, scumware, malware programs and junk email(mainly spam).
There are even websites that use hacking software to gather the content of your hard drive.
Anonymous Proxies
Among proxy servers there are so called anonymous proxy servers that hide your IP address.
Using an anonymous proxy server will give you security and stop hackers in their tracks, thereby saving you from vulnerability concerns.
