Changing your Internet Explorer Settings to use a Proxy

1. Open an Internet Explorer session from your Desktop and click on "Tools" from the menu bar.

2. Select "Internet Options" from the pull-down menu.

3. Click on the "Connections" tab.

4. Click on the "LAN Settings" button in the lower right of the window.

5. Uncheck the "top two boxes" and then check the "Use a proxy server for your Lan" button. Enter the proxy number(address) and enter the Port. You also have the option of bypassing the proxy for your local server.

6. Click "OK" all the way back out to the main browser window.
(This step may disconnect you from the Internet briefly while your computer adjusts to the new Internet connection).

Changing your Internet Explorer Setting back

1. Open an Internet Explorer session from your Desktop and click on Tools from the menu bar.

2. Select "Internet Options" from the pull-down menu.

3. Click on the "Connections" tab.

4. Click on the "LAN Settings" button in the lower right of the window.

5. Uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" button.
